The Importance of Personalised Detoxification
When I first came to hear about the concept of “personalised detoxification”, my approach towards detoxes changed and has never been the same since. The reason I first became involved in helping others with their unique detoxification goals was because there are many one-size-fits-all detoxes out there, many of which cause more harm to someone’s health than you can imagine.
After dedicated research and science-based training, understanding how personalised detoxification advice works gave me the opportunity to safely help my clients with their detox goals. The science behind personalised detoxification is incredibly extensive and is focused on the individual. There is a great deal to communicate to you about it than what I will have a chance to get down in this page, but please take the time to understand the basics.
If you embark on a personalised detox plan with me, there will be a lot more information that I will be sharing with you – primarily about you. In the meantime, please accept my assurances that reading this will be worth it. There is a secret that those of us who keep up to date with the latest science know:
When it comes to detoxification, what works for one person, has little to no effect on a second person, and can actually make a third person worse.
Promoters of popular detoxes encounter this scenario at some point: They read something in the news and how it was successful in helping people. They put it forward to a client and it works wonderfully, but then when recommending the same protocol to another client, they discover that it fails.
The problem is: many people follow “hear-say” or recommend what worked for them (which may not work for someone else), leaving out the person’s unique situation and needs. Most of us can relate to this. It is exactly the same experience of the person trying to lose weight by trying a friend’s detox, only to find that it is impossible to follow and causes her to binge-eat instead.
It is a tremendous irony that we find ourselves amongst an extraordinary information overload with the internet. However, instead of bringing greater clarity, we find the confusion only deepening. More detox books and websites than ever before are available. Yet, everywhere we look, we find contradictions. One detox website says one thing; another detox website says just the opposite.
Information is at our fingertips, but what does it mean in terms of practical application in an individual case?
Where is the framework or the reference point from which sense can be made of the virtually endless stream of seemingly unrelated and contradictory pieces of information?
It is not possible to offer one single detoxification protocol for everyone. Why?
Because everyone’s toxicity risk levels and detoxification capacity are different.
Even between people living in the same house, with similar environments! There is no “universal” detox plan that is right for absolutely everyone. And that’s actually good news. It means that we need to look at the individual and evaluate what works for that individual specifically. For that reason, scientific research is moving towards a more individualised approach, and the primary application of personalised detoxification has been formulated into specific evaluation systems and proprietary methodologies developed through the Clinic Toolkit™.
To achieve your detox goals, you must first understand your current toxicity levels, identify your own detractors, and have a tailored plan that works for (and not against) your body. As a Detox Specialist, I utilise science-based tools available to my clients through the Clinic Toolkit™ to evaluate detoxification capacity, recognise sources of exogenous/endogenous toxins and identify symptoms of exposure and provide personalised nutritional and lifestyle strategies to enhance detoxification.
Detox manuals will be given out, which will contain the program and course information, pretax and detox food list. Toxicology questionnaires and the protocol itself. We will discuss how to implement the detox protocol, review every detail of what to expect over the course of the month, and begin to discuss the basics of detoxing and other nutritional principles.
You will also be asked to complete a comprehensive health screening questionnaire that you will have to fill out prior to the first meeting. Weight and measurements will be taken if desired, as well as group and individual pictures if wanted. You will be added to a WhatsApp group so that you can communicate with your detox sisterhood throughout the week in between sessions.

Each session following will be 2 hour nutrition class & group discussion. The purpose of each session is to learn new nutritional principles, reshape our health mindset, discuss lifestyle changes and habits, as well as provide support to the 'detox sisterhood'. The last session will be a wrap up. We will summarize the basic principles that we experimented with throughout the course of the month. MY CONNECTION TO THIS DETOX:
I have been detoxing and leading 1-1 detoxing sessions for many years now and from my experience I have come to the conclusion (supported by professional training) that detoxing doesn't have to be so extreme. Being a yoga teacher naturally I love all the ways in which we can holistically bring even more balance to the body. As a recovered bulimia sufferer I have learnt powerful and healthy ways to heal on the inside and on the outside. As a passionate Detox Specialist consultant I have integrated wisdom from both the clinical world and the holistic nutrition world to create a balanced and uplifting 4 week supported detox experience. Some of the best detox experiences I have had have been when I have been part if a supportive group that holds loving structure and realistic teachings.

WHAT ARE IDEAS/HEALTH PRINCIPLES ARE INCLUDED IN THS DETOX: An introduction to the following subjects are as follows:

WHAT FOODS ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE DETOX:
Wheat, sugar, processed foods, dairy, red meat, food coloring, refined oils, alcohol etc
CAN I DO THIS WHILE OUT OF TOWN:
I do not recommend following this detox protocol while you are out of town unless you will have access to a kitchen and bathroom you can comfortably use. Although I do think this plan could be doable while traveling, it might be too much of a strain/pressure to follow while away, but get in touch and we can arrange for your to do this course supported by some extra online face to face support sessions.
I WORK CRAZY HOURS, WILL I ABLE TO FOLLOW THIS PLAN:
Yes, you can follow this plan while working crazy hours. However, a warning for all reissuance women, you will most like feel weak and hungry during the first week even though you will be consuming enough food. Detoxing takes a lot of energy, thus just be prepared to feel a little out of it at work for the first week. Fortunately, your energy will majorly boost during the second week
I NEED HELP WITH MY ENERGY LEVELS, WILL THIS HELP:
Yes!!!!! Detoxing is great for picking up energy. You may feel weak during the first week – but will start to see dramatic energy improvements during the 2nd week.
I AM WORRIED ABOUT FEELING SUPER LIMITED:
I hear you. Not being able to eat whatever you want whenever you want is not fun.
However, every change requires change.
If you want a serious health and body change, this protocol will provide you with the system to change. Yes it will restrict you. Yes there will be times when you want to just give up and eat a chips. But, this plan will give you the results you are looking for. It will also make you feel physiologically invincible, since you will be able to experience how mentally strong you actually are, and demonstrate your control over your health and life experiences.
CAN I WORKOUT DURING THIS DETOX PROTOCOL:
I do not advise participating in intense cardio during the sit week of your detox, it will over exhaust your body and make it harder to detox. You may participate in light exercise: long walks, easy hikes, light yoga, lymphatic exercise., swimming, light jogging, etc,
DURING PAST DETOXES, I REMEMBER NOT FEELING TOO GREAT IN THE BEGINNING, IS THIS GOING TO BE LIKE THAT TOO:
YES! Generally when people detox successfully they can feel worse before they feel better. You may feel frustrated, uncomfortable, and weak as the body begins to expel trapped toxicity and negative emotions. The length of this discomfort varies from person to person. I tend to cry a lot during the second week of the detox, as I begin to eliminate trapped emotions…but everyones different and its all in the PRETOX preparation of week 1 and 2. This will make your week 3 and 4 much less intense.
CAN I INVITE A FRIEND TO JOIN ME:
Of course! The more people you know who will sign up and do it with you, the easier it will be for you. Even though the group itself is a great support system, knowing that a close friend is doing it with you will help you succeed even more so.
WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE FOR THE PROGRAM:
18+, younger woman can join under the condition that they will have to modify certain parts of the plan, which we will go over privately.

WILL THIS BE HARD:
The first week will be the hardest, and the plan itself will definitely be an adjustment. Fortunately you will learn principles that you will be able to use throughout your life time.
I DON’T DO JUICE FASTING:
It will not be 4 weeks of juice fasting – no need to worry there. However, fasting is an important element in detoxing and forms of fasting will be included.
WILL I BE ABLE TO EAT REAL FOOD:

You will definitely be eating less than you normally would, however you get to control how much you eat from what you are allowed to eat.
