Welcome to your Yin / Restorative yoga teacher training Immersion. 50 hour attendance certificate.

This training is intended for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, inspired students and seasoned teachers looking for tools to add to their teaching and personal practice repertoire. Participants will learn how to teach restorative yoga classes, incorporate restorative yoga into active group classes and privates, and develop a restorative home practice.

The 5 day training courses are open to anyone wishing to go deeper within this practice and those looking to teach can complete all three weekends to qualify for 50 training hours. Open to new teachers, qualified teachers and training teachers. Students are also welcome to attend one or all of the weekends as part of their own personal practice development.

On completion of the 50 hour Yoga Teacher Training you are able to get insured to teach this form of yoga (within the course content) in the following ways:

- If you already hold your 200 hour yoga certification you can get covered through Yoga Alliance Professionals UK

- If you do not hold your 200 hour yoga certification you can get covered through Towergate insurance and become a 'member' with Yoga Alliance UK and or become registered as a 'Trainee teacher' with Yoga Alliance if you are working towards your 200 hours in another way.

It is recommended as advised by the Yoga Alliance Professionals guideline that you work towards your 200 hours in training as a Yoga Teacher. 

However this is not mandatory prior to you starting to teach after completion of this course.

You will receive a manual and a certificate of attendance when attending 50 hours

· Restorative classes to experience the healing effects of restorative postures and conscious deep relaxation to serve as a template for the training.

  • Yin, Iyengar and restoritive, what's the differences?
  • Introduction to anatomy trains
  • Western science behind restorative yoga
  • Restorative yoga with the influence of B.K.S Iyenga
  • Nervous system applicable to restorative yoga
  • Fundamentals of basic proping
  • Yin yoga as taught by Paul Grilley
  • Verbal cueing and voice
  • Hands-on adjustments
  • Incorporating meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra into Restoratives
  • Joint mobility movements /warm ups : the moon routine
  • Therapeutic adjustments
  • Restorative yoga and the brain: what's the science behind the practice?
  • The parasympathetic nervous system
    - Body wisdom & peripheral awareness within the practice.
    - Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable: how to guide your students.
    - Chakra therapy and restoritive yoga

You will leave the training with a clear understanding of Restorative Yoga as an essential complement to the more active yoga- and life-styles, and ways to impart these transformative concepts to your students and in your own practice

For those attending for professional purposes: 

This course includes 50 cpd hours. The following criteria does not apply to students attending for personal practice development.
